Climate.now is an educational module designed to teach and learn the fundamentals of climate change. Developed as a 5 ECTS course for higher education, it offers a multidisciplinary approach that makes the material relevant across a wide range of academic disciplines, as well as for professional training in organizations and companies. Climate change is a complex and multifaceted challenge that spans scientific, social, economic, and political dimensions. The content and learning outcomes of Climate.now are built around three key areas of understanding:
1. Climate change as a scientific phenomenon;
2. Measures to prevent and reduce its impacts through mitigation; and
3. Strategies for adapting to the changes that are already occurring.
Beyond providing foundational knowledge, Climate.now aims to foster a deeper understanding of climate change as one of the most significant human and societal challenges of our time. An equally important goal is to empower learners with the knowledge, skills, and motivation needed to actively participate in creating sustainable solutions and driving positive change.
In this course, you will learn what the circular economy means and why it is needed. In addition, you will acquire a deeper appreciation of the importance and opportunities of the circular economy through four different subject areas and, at the same time, gain a comprehensive picture of the practical applications of the circular economy. As multidisciplinarity, shared expertise, and systems thinking are strongly linked to the circular economy, the course is constructed considering these perspectives. After completing the course, you will be able to understand the problems of today’s consumption of resources and how the circular economy can help in resolving these problems, become familiar with approaches that could promote the circular economy, and create a vision of practical activities that different sectors could undertake to promote the circular economy.

The course has two parts: 1) The Circular.now is an online course on the MOOC platform, and you can take the course in your own pace. 2) Individual assignment
