The main objective of this course is to foster students about the possibilities and challenges of sustainability reporting to measure, disclose and communicate sustainability information to stakeholders. The aim of this course is to provide students sufficient skills to identify relevant ESG risks and opportunities, combine them with a company strategy and analytical skills for analysing sustainability reports. The focus will be on issues related to the EU regulation on sustainable finance and mandatory sustainability reporting but concerning also on global sustainability frameworks.

The course is partly held in presence but also virtually in MS Teams. The dates and schedule is visible in the WebOodi System.

Class material will be uploaded shortly in MS Teams.

Please make sure to join the Team until 30th of November.

As we will work on some small tasks in the first two lectures (max. 4 points), bring your mobile phone or laptop to the lectures. The assignments can also be solved from home during the lecture.

The first course (31.10.2023) will be online for students from Vaasa. Students from Helsinki can participate in presence.
The second course (1.11.2023) will be in presence for students from Vaasa and online for students from Helsinki.

The following lectures will be held online for all students. The last lecture will be held in attendance for the students from Helsinki, the students from Vaasa can participate virtually.
