The aim of the course is to introduce students in Management and Business Studies to statistical methods for analysing multivariate data. After completing the course, the student is able to undertake high-quality quantitative research in Management and Business Studies, including International Business, Logistics, Management, Marketing and Strategy.

The course covers mathematical techniques used to solve real-life problems arising in economic applications. The Mathematica software (http://www.wolfram.com/mathematica/) is used in class. The course is available via live-streaming from Helsinki's 3610-E course by establishing a virtual classroom with Adobe Connect. Vasa students use their personal (or university) computers to enter the virtual classroom
and have the same opportunity to engage in the learning process as the physical-classroom students.
