The aim of this course is to increase the students’ knowledge in Nordic Corporate Governance and in the difficult trade-offs that characterize CG in practice. The role of corporate governance in society at large (ESG) will be discussed, along with institutions that have been developed internationally and in different countries to improve corporate governance, on a local as well as multinational level. Applicability of general principles to real world companies is considered in the form of in-depth case studies. Discussions with people involved in actual corporate governance cases will be provided.
The course can be taken as part of the study module in Corporate Responsibility.
