This course invites students into a number of conversations with people and organizations at the frontiers and edges of innovation. Rather than embarking on a normative journey of how-to, the course tackles the challenge of managing and organizing for innovation as a set of empirical questions including motivational grounds, structural impediments and enablers, the role serendipity plays, and managerial challenges of innovative organizations. The course seeks to bring together students of innovation from across academia and practice including a variety of organizations ranging from global multinationals to start-ups and social movements, and create a conversation about how to make organizations strategically resilient and more renewable through innovation capabilities, in and with organizations.

The course is 5 ECTS starting from October 2017.
